Who is Elise Matthysen? Breast stroke specialist Elise Matthysen is bored to death when she is not swimming. At the age of 6, she aimed at the 800 meter diploma and, without realising it, swam 1500 meters instead. Ten years later she made it twice into the semi-finals at the Beijing Olympics. Without doubt Elise is the mascot of swimming in Belgium.
